Polestar Publishing attended ITS Istanbul

After several years of silence due to Covid, the 26th International Tug & Salvage Convention took place from 28 – 30 September. Wencke Boerrigter, managing director of Polestar Publishing, attended the Convention in Istanbul. On behalf of the Workboat Association, Wencke presented on the issue of tug safety.

We discussed tug incidents and their root causes but above all: the lessons learned from incidents and the importance of a well trained and knowledgeable crew. What can we do to ensure that the analysis and recommendations from investigation boards reach the people that need them? Polestar Publishing looks back on a fruitful event discussing important topics with the tug community.
