Gerard Poptie worked for thirty years as a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences in Dordrecht and the University of Applied Sciences in Rotterdam. Since 2000 he is, both nationally and internationally, active as a trainer and lecturer for various large dredging companies all over the world.
